Carolyn Lau is a PhD student in American Studies at Brown University. Carolyn currently works at Wing on Wo & Co., the oldest operating store in New York’s Chinatown that reinterprets cultural objects of tradition through an Asian American lens, and the W.O.W. Project, its QTPOC-led grassroots initiative resisting cultural displacement and gentrification.
